Recipe: Green Juice

I’ve always been into juicing. It started off with the milder variety with lots of fruit and barely any veg.  Over the years that has changed and lately I just can’t seem to get enough green juice. Ideally, I like to have one of these in the morning as my breakfast. Some days depending on how I’m feeling, I’ll have another for lunch. Other days like today when I’ve had a giant lunch (a French dip sandwich and fries, oops!) I’ll be mellow and have one for dinner. This is my favorite combo:

M’s Green Juice-makes two small juices or one large juice

  • 2 apples (Gala, Fuji, Pink Lady-any variety you like)
  • 2 celery ribs
  • a handful of parsley
  • 8-10 kale leaves
  • 1 whole cucumber (I peel mine to prevent any wax from getting in my juice)
  • 1 small piece of ginger-to taste
  • 1 lime with the peel removed (but you can leave as much of the white pith as you’d like)

Put it in your juicer and enjoy! 

*when juicing I always buy organic produce and I make sure to wash extremely thorough. I even use fruit/vegetable wash.
