LYRIC BLOG MISSION:

I'm not one who blogs at all. There might as well be a first time for everything I guess. So here we go.

This one particular song I heard, and at first I really didn't care for it. I prefer the other songs on the album over it. But about 4 years later, I fell in love with someone who just about stole my heart. But with the way high school life goes, we gossiped about and made fun of because we were such an odd couple. The stresses of High school made us break up. Which is when the song "Hotel Paper" really hit me. Especially the lines "Forgive me if I admit that I'd love to love you. We both realized that we're too late."

I would stay at home and write in notebooks with frustration knowing that I would be the only one reading them, which is how I also relate to the line "I write mostly on hotel paper knowing that my thoughts will never leave this room." This song just made me feel a bit sane, knowing that (what I believe) someone else has gone through the troubles of life as I had.
